The Alville & Captown Railroad
The Snow Shed

Fall and winter create a problem behind the train shed. Leaves from the trees fall on the train shed and slide off to the ground on both sides. Snow does the same thing. Clearing the track behind the train shed is not easy because of limited space so an easier solution was needed. Enter the snow shed principle. Keep the snow (and leaves) off the track by covering the track.

Winter has passed. The show shed did its job.
